The opening of two new photo contestsTwo new photo contests started almost 5 hours ago: monthly contest “Cat Of The Month July” and “The Best Smile” among dog and cat lovers around the world. And many beautiful photos have been submitted already. Who will become cat of the month July and get a LitterHouse? We will find out it on 28 July. The photo contest “The Best Smile” is rather difficult competition but very interesting. Three winners with most voted photos of their smiling dogs and cats will get great herbal and natural pet care products. We all know that our cats and dogs can smile. It’s wonderful. Both of these contests are open to all cat and dog lovers and owners around the world. To participate in competitions you need to be registered member with Pets Area, create profile for your pet and submit pet’s photo on contest page. We wish all participants good luck! New advertising options on Pets AreaIt’s well known that some pages on website have more exposure than other ones. Most visited pages on our website are home page, breed center and classifieds section. We’ve decided to give possibility to our pet professionals to get maximum attention from people who come to website with purpose to find pets. We’ve added three paid advertising options for our members that allow them to place listings and pets in most visited sections on our website and thus they will be able to get more visitors to their profiles and websites: Photo Contests and Giveaway on Pets AreaWe are now running two photo contests where the winners receive great prizes. These competitions start at 12:00 am on June 17, 2009 and ends on July 6, 2009. To participate in contests you need to register with Pets Area and upload your pet’s photo on the contest page. Submitted photos will be voted on by the community and the winners of the contests will be selected based on members’ votes. 2. Photo Contest “Cat of the month” is monthly photo contest among cat owners and cat lovers around the world. Every month you and your cat get chance to win a LitterHouse litter box for cats, kittens and small animals. We wish all participants good luck! Pets for adoption on Pets AreaOn Pets Area registered members can add listing “Pets wanted” where they indicate their requires concerning adoption. There are three variants: 1. Adoption required 2. Adoption possible 3. Adoption impossible Now our members can add not only listing “Pets wanted” with requires of adoption, they can add listing and create pets’ profiles that are ready for adoption. When members want to put their adoptable pets on website they click in their profiles “Add listing” and choose “Awaiting for adoption” from the list. I think this is very good improvement for Pets Area and we hope we will help homeless pets to find good and lovely homes. Some changes in users’ profilesWe’ve just added some features in users’ profiles: 1. The field “State/Province”. Now our members can indicate not only cities and countries where they live but state (if they live in USA) or province (for other countries). It gives better results of search for people who want to find breeders or pet lovers in their location. 2. Every Pets Area member in registration choose whether he/she is pet lover or breeder or shelter, etc. Users can change their category at any time or add other categories in their profiles’ settings. It helps people to find, for example, breeders very quickly and easy. 3. The posibility to add pet breeds that users consider neccessary in their profiles and as many as it needs. And so every member on Pets Area can be found by pet type and pet breed of course if there are breeds in profile. Notifications of new members, discussions, announcements in GroupsNow Pets Area registered members can receive notifications about new members who join their groups. Also they are informed about new discussions, announcements. If users take a part in some discussions or announcements they will get messages from Pets Area about new replies or comments. Our members can receive these notifications as frequently as they want. There are settings in profiles where every user can change frequency of receiving notifications individually. So, all our members can always be kept informed of group events and will miss nothing important. |
